Ever wonder who’s behind some of the perfectly timed posts and spot-on captions for our clients at Bumblebee Digital Marketing? Meet Amanda — one of our very first team members and a key part of our scheduling crew. She manages a dedicated list of small business clients and helps keep their content flowing with consistency, clarity, and a sprinkle of heart.
In our very first Staff Spotlight video, Amanda sat down with Christina to share how she got started, what her day-to-day looks like, and what she’s learned along the way about marketing, balance, and authenticity. From remote work realities to AI tools and advice for small businesses, Amanda keeps it real — and we think you’ll love getting to know her.

Amanda’s story with Bumblebee started in a Facebook moms group. She wasn’t even looking for a job at the time — just trying to connect with other local moms. But when she saw a post from another mom (hi, Christina!) who was building a digital marketing team, something clicked.
“I loved the idea of working with a small, women-led business and I was looking for something flexible but meaningful.”
Amanda applied, joined the team, and quickly found her groove managing client content calendars, scheduling posts, and helping ensure each brand’s voice came through clearly online.
Her current role involves supporting her assigned clients by checking in on project timelines, reviewing content for accuracy and tone, and making sure posts go out on schedule. It’s a mix of coordination, strategy, and organization — all behind the scenes.
“No two days are the same, but I usually start by checking emails, reviewing projects, and making sure our team has what they need. There’s a lot of content creation, strategy, and problem-solving throughout the day — and honestly, a lot of coffee.”
When asked what part of her job she loves most, Amanda didn’t skip a beat:
“I’m all about keeping things running smoothly, supporting the team, and helping clients see real wins online.”
Over time, her role has expanded. She now manages over 20 accounts, works more closely with the larger Bumblebee team, and has taken on new tools and processes as the business has grown.
One thing she’s learned? That digital marketing is so much more than just throwing up a post or going viral.
“People think it’s just about posting on social or ‘going viral.’ But there’s so much more strategy, heart, and behind-the-scenes work involved. Good marketing builds trust — it’s not just about trends.”
Amanda shared how important consistency is, even when the content doesn’t feel flashy. In fact, the small, steady steps — thoughtful captions, on-brand imagery, and regular posting — are often what make the biggest difference over time.
When she’s off the clock, Amanda recharges by spending time with her kids, heading to the beach, taking spontaneous road trips, and crocheting — her go-to creative escape. Working remotely with a close-knit team has added a lot of flexibility to her life, and she says the connection between team members is what keeps it fun and meaningful.
“We’re spread out, but we’re super connected. There’s a lot of support, creativity, and understanding — it’s a team that genuinely cares about each other and the clients.”
Of course, no remote job is complete without a few funny moments — like Zoom calls where kids or pets unexpectedly pop into frame. Amanda says those little things remind her how down-to-earth the team is, and how human we all are.
So what’s performing well in the social media world right now, according to Amanda?
“Anything authentic or organic. People want to see real stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and posts that feel human — not just polished ads.”
She’s seeing great results with short-form video and Reels, but stresses that what really matters is connection. Business owners often say they don’t have time for social media — and Amanda understands that — but she encourages even small, manageable steps.
“You can’t afford not to show up online. Even small, consistent efforts make a difference. And if you really can’t manage it, that’s why teams like ours exist — to help take it off your plate.”
We also asked Amanda about something that’s on a lot of people’s minds: AI and ChatGPT.
“AI is honestly a really helpful tool, and we use it sometimes to spark ideas or help with drafts. But at the end of the day, it can’t replace real strategy or human creativity.”
“You can kind of tell when something’s AI-made — it feels a little flat or generic. What we do is bring the human side.”
Amanda believes that understanding the brand, audience, and tone of voice is what makes content work — and that still takes a human touch.
If she had to choose just one platform for small businesses to focus on?
“Probably Facebook or Instagram — especially for local businesses. That’s still where people go to check you out, look at your reviews, and get a feel for who you are.”
And finally, what makes Bumblebee different?
“We really care about the people and the passion behind each business. It’s not just about posting content or chasing numbers. We’re here to listen, collaborate, and help tell your story in a way that actually connects.”
We wrapped up with a little rapid fire:
Coffee or tea? “Coffee. Always.”
Most-used emoji? “The laughing face!”
Reels or carousels? “Reels — they’re performing better right now.”
One piece of advice for businesses online? “Don’t be afraid to try something new.”
Amanda is such a valued part of our Bumblebee crew, and we’re so excited to share this little peek into her work and personality. If you’re one of her clients — you already know how lucky we are to have her!
